Humanitarian Missions and UN Peacekeeping

All Jordanian humanitarian efforts are supported by the Air Force with their C130 aircraft and missions have been sent all over the world where various disasters have occurred :

• Earthquake victims in Japan, Armenia, Turkey, Iran and Pakistan

• Routine flights carrying medical aid and personnel to Sudan

• Relief to Chechnya

• Evacuation of foreigners from Yemen during their civil war in 1993

• Relief to Somalis who had fled to Yemen

• Flying of international personnel during the Gulf War

• Relief to Bangladesh

• Humanitarian flight to Malaysia

• Evacuation of Jordanian and international citizens from Bosnia

• Relief to Bosnia

• The Air Force has supported the Jordanian Army contingent serving with UNPROFOR in the former Yugoslavia, by carrying troops in their C130s. The Air Force has also contributed UN observer forces

• Tsunami relief to the Maldives and Indonesia
