Officer recruitment comes from direct entry of cadets for flying training; officers from Mu'ta University who will join different branches in the Air Force and University graduates. Mu'ta University has taken the place of the Military College and supplies the Armed Forces with officers holding a degree from their military branch. |
| Other ranks recruitment comes from high school graduates; community college graduates and university graduates. |

To become a pilot a yearly recruiting and interviewing takes place after advertising in the media. The qualifications needed are that the applicant should be a Jordanian citizen of not more than 20 years, if a high school graduate, with marks of over 65%, or not more than 22 years with a diploma from a community college or not more than 24 years if a university graduate. All applicants who meet these requirements will be interviewed by a special committee in July/August of each year. |
