RJAF takes delivery of its first upgraded F-16 from TAI

The Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) received the first of its modernized Lockheed Martin F-16A/C fighter aircraft from Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) on 17 October, the company has announced.
The original contract for the RJAF F-16 upgrade was signed with TAI in 2005 and covers the Falcon-up, Falcon-Star and mid-life upgrade (MLU) modifications to a total of 17 Block 15 F-16s, bringing the upgraded aircraft to Block 40 standard.
Under the programme, the first 12 aircraft will be upgraded at TAI's facilities in Turkey, with work on the remaining five aircraft being undertaken in Jordan under TAI supervision.
