INTRODUCTION

ROYAL
JORDANIAN
AIR FORCE

                   Addressing the first batch of graduating pilots on July
                   19, 1951, His Majesty the founding King Abdullah I said:
                   "From this desert, we have built a Kingdom, a Nation,
                   where men are born to be free, and you are my Falcons
                   who will guard the skies above it".

                   Henceforth, the Falcons, charged by this inspiring
                   speech, have just done that: protecting the skies of
                   free Jordan, accomplishing, according to the book,
                   their sacred mandate and evolving in the process. As
                   part of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, the RJAF
                   has developed into a full-fledged, mature institution
                   that has become the source of pride for the Country's
                   Hashemite leaders, people, the Arab Nation and all
                   peace-loving people around the world.

        FROM THIS  With its dedication, faith and relentless efforts towards
       DESERT, WE  perfection, the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) has
     HAVE BUILT A  won the confidence and respect of all, and our Falcons
      KINGDOM, A   have planted fear in the hearts of those who have
 NATION, WHERE     malicious intentions towards the Kingdom's security
  MEN ARE BORN     and stability.
TO BE FREE, AND
       YOU ARE MY  Thanks to the continuous support by the RJAF leaders,
   FALCONS WHO     the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme
WILL GUARD THE     Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army,
  SKIES ABOVE IT   RJAF has kept up with technology advancements in the
                   military aviation industry, introduced state-of-the-art
HIS MAJESTY THE    equipment and conducted proper and most effective
 FOUNDING KING     training for its personnel.
