Nevertheless, it is the human element that has
made the difference and it is this human element
which the Supreme Commander has vested his
trust in. As put by one pilot interviewed for the
purposes of this book: "We may not have the best
technologies in the world, but we offset that with
our skills and determination. We fly like the best
pilots in the world, day and night and under all
weather conditions". This attitude is synonymous
to excellence and to faith in Jordan and its people
and what they can do: "though small with limited
sources, yet effective, respected and excelling".
The vision has been evolving and expanding. In
the past decade, new aircraft have been added to
the fleet, new squadrons established, more battles
won, new partnerships with society and friends
forged and new services introduced, while new
investments have taken shape and paid off.
And the vision is now geared towards achieving the
goal "less but more", or, in other words, "smaller but
more effective," in reference to a restructuring plan
in development.
The desert will always stand witness to what kind
of Nation the Hashemite leaders have built, and the
safe skies above our heads will stand as an eternal
witness, testifying that the RJAF has been, is, and
will be there to protect, help and contribute to the
development of Jordan, making it increasingly
stronger, safer, freer and more prosperous.
