QUICK RESPONSE
PLATOONS
READY FOR ACTION
Quick response platoons are affiliated with the Local
Ground Defense Battalions stationed at RJAF's bases
and main units, also known as Air Police.
The battalions' mandate includes a long list of duties
and responsibilities, but their primary mission is to
protect/defend the base or unit, ready 24/7 to deploy
a quick response platoon, with a full terrain kit that
enables them to survive for one week without the
need to replenish supplies.
The platoon can be ready in full gear within 10
minutes to respond to any threat to the base, the
aircraft or other facilities.
