NO. 32 SQUADRON
The Spanish-made Casa 235 has been in service for six
years at the squadron, whose main mission is to support
ground forces.
Casa 235, a relatively large plane, features a long-range,
high-precision cam and can fly for 5-6 hours daily to an
altitude exceeding 20,000 feet as the cabin is pressurized.
It has self-defense capabilities, such as a jammer, 30 mm
machine gun and unguided rockets, with plans in place
to install modern laser-guided weaponry.
In addition to its 5-member crew, it can accomodate a
representative of the unit that requests the mission to be
on board, which is a very practical feature, particularly
when communication with the ground station that
analyzes the data is disrupted or lost.
