Flying Instructor School

A landmark component of King Hussein Air College, the Flight Instructors Schools trains pilots to become trainers, and join Fourth Squadron, the college's basic fixed-wing training unit, and the Fifth Squadron specialized in helicopter training.

The 22-week training course includes academic instruction in aviation science, meteorology and navigation for one month, before the practical flight training starts.

The third phase focuses on teaching the qualities and skills of trainers, making certain that the graduates of the school have the ability to deal with student pilots and turn them into professional military pilots.

The second goal achieved is that since pilots of all kinds of military aircraft join the school, it is an opportunity to unify the syllabi and ensure the best quality of standardized training at all units that conduct conversion and other pilot training courses.
